Recipients Selected from a Pool of Nearly 800 Public Water Supply Systems
WhiteWater, the utility operation and management subsidiary of R.H. White Companies, located in Charlton, MA is proud to announce that several of its customers have been selected to receive Public Water Systems Awards from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP).
This annual award, which is held in conjunction with “National Drinking Water Week” (May 7-13), focuses on community and non-transient non-community public water supply systems that have gone above and beyond compliance regulations.
WhiteWater General Manager, Steve Donovan, stated, “The award recognition that our customers are receiving is positive affirmation of our passion for what we do. As one of the largest contract operation service providers in Massachusetts our operators, technicians, mechanics, supervision and all our staff behind the scenes take great pride in the work they do. This year’s awards ceremony is being held at the Devens Conference Center in Devens, MA on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Bethany Card, Deputy Commissioner of MassDEP, will deliver the keynote address. Christine Millhouse, President of Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA), will be the Master of Ceremonies. Yvette DePeiza, Director of the MassDEP Drinking Water Program, will deliver comments. Stephen Ryan, Executive Director of New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), will deliver closing remarks.
In addition to the MassDEP, other sponsors of this annual event include MWWA, NEWWA, RCAP-Solutions, Mass Rural Water Association, Barnstable County Water Utilities Association, Middlesex/Worcester County Water Works Association and Western Mass Waterworks Association.
